Delta Air Lines announces a nationwide sale on fares for fall 2012.  The sale includes hundreds of flights throughout the domestic United States.

Delta’s Historic Accomplishment
The introduction of discount fares coincides with Delta’s historic expansion of New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

The transformation of LaGuardia is the single largest airline expansion in decades.  The final phase adds 100 new daily nonstop flights, making Delta the largest carrier at the New York-based airport.  The expansion increases Delta’s operations to 260 daily flights to 60 cities.

Delta also is investing significantly in upgrading its airport facilities in New York, including a $160 million modernization at LaGuardia and a $1.2 billion expansion and enhancement of its terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport, where the airline operates an international hub.
