Introduction to BTI

 

BTI The Travel Consultants is an independent travel management company, since 1988, offering our customers the “best of both worlds,” a high touch service with the technology, buying power and global reach through our affiliated travel partners.

 

Located in Syracuse, New York, we offer a full-service operation with a team of Corporate Travel Consultants, an International Rate department, Groups & Meetings Department and Vacation Travel Department. Our office hours are 7:00AM-7:00PM EST, Monday through Friday; to match our customer’s business hours for all US time zones. We recognize that your needs may extend beyond these hours so we offer 24/7 access through our online booking tool and after hours assistance center. We are very proud of our staff, their industry knowledge averaging 19 years and their longevity with BTI in an industry where turnover is very high.  Our goal is to offer our customers value-add services that extend beyond a typical travel agency.

 

 

24/7 After Hours Service

With the current state of the travel industry climate, BTI recognizes that our 24-hour service is more valuable than ever to our customers.  BTI provides a toll free telephone number through our Syracuse office during business hours or our 24/7 service center after hours. After hours consultants can access your travelers Personal Profile information, company specific information, as well as existing reservations booked through our consultants or online tool.  They will document call detail in the agents computer system so that we are kept informed and can handle any necessary follow up.

CHANGE has always been a word that instills chills in companies and their personnel. The change that BTI The Travel Consultants is going through may be well beyond the chill factor.

 

 

We are making so many changes that many would call it redefining our company. Before the list of what I consider to be exciting changes, I must stop to highlight the one thing that we will never change: our commitment to excellent customer service that has gotten us to this 23rd year in a very unstable industry.

 

So what are the changes?

 

After 18 years in our Erie Blvd West location, on October 31st we moved our offices downtown to newly renovated offices at 124 East Jefferson Street, in Syracuse.

 

At the same time we are redoing our logo to better match our vision of BTI’s future, as well as the globalization of our industry.

 

As you have seen, we have re-designed our website to reinforce your travel and to better describe our company and the benefits of traveling with BTI.

 

We’ve also committed to embarking on social media communications and increased mobile resources for your smart phone as you travel.

 

And while we’re at it, why not add to our future the most unique product we’ve had, Safe to Go? It monitors media, flights, web services and government notices that could impact travel. It’s going to change the way you travel. Luckily, our staff is always monitoring for cancellations and delays, working to correct the situation, often before you know about it, regardless of the newest, fanciest gadgets.

 

Despite the potential to freeze us, these changes have rather invigorated our staff, and me, as BTI The Travel Consultants has redefined itself and gets ready to move into the future.
